Job Description

Overview

We have an exciting new vacancy for a PR SAM/AM to join our team. The key purpose of the role will be to manage and drive a number sport/ lifestyle brands within the agency. You’ll be maintaining great relationships with clients to grow the business, delivering outstanding award-winning work. You will support campaign development, lead on day-to-day client communications and manage the account teams across your client portfolio. 

Main Responsibilities 

Project delivery

Lead on the day to delivery of client projects, campaigns and programmes, from driving the press office, to supporting the delivery of multi-channel campaigns covering, events, social media and PR.

Creative thinking and idea development is key to supporting the development of plans for clients as well as leading on brainstorms.

Create timing plans, project overviews and have an understanding of budgets, both tracking and creating them for clients.

Media Relations

Have a strong media contacts list across key areas inclusive of sport, lifestyle and consumer press

Be constantly on the look-out for opportunities, proactive and reactive, for clients and brands in media and social media 

Have a strong influencer network already that is constantly growing and evolving to meet client needs

Challenge the team to constantly be creating new relationships and developing new contacts that are relevant to our clients needs

Team Management & Admin

Manage the teams to ensure comms to client are always on time and accurate

Take pride in the reporting process for clients and ensure that the teams are sharing results and the great work in a timely and well presented way

Take responsibility for KPI tracking for clients and driving client output on your accounts

Contribute to new business, when and if required

Work with the team to ensure product logs are kept in a client facing format at all times

Manage your teams deadlines and working week with clear direction and planning

Social Media knowledge

Have a good understanding of the social media landscape and new developments

Develop and implement social media content calendars across key channels incl. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest

Implement social media community management on key accounts

Content Development 

Be competent at creating content that is compelling, persuasive, on message and on brand for all channels

Content can include: media releases, journalist pitch emails, digital content, opinion pieces and more

Manage third party suppliers to ensure great content is developed for our clients including e.g. imagery, videos, infographics etc 

Brand & industry insight & understanding

Demonstrate understanding of clients’ brands and their competitors 

Always have your finger on the pulse, following key news outlets, brand news and competitor campaigns and activations

Manage, take part in and actively contribute to team brainstorms across all team accounts
