Introduction to role;

Reporting into the Commercial Director, we have a new exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager to join our growing team. The key purpose of the role will entail identifying and securing meetings with prospective sponsors and delivering a consistent pipeline of opportunity. Driving leads, negotiating and closing prospective partnerships on behalf of and with our clients will be central to this role.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Driving the sales process from prospecting to initial meetings through to close
  • Lead generation and management of warm client prospect pipeline, developing and delivering a strategy for each prospect rights owner clients with the Commercial Director
  • Participating in pitch and new business activity as required
  • Creating and refining new business materials (presentations etc.) as required
  • Consistent accurate usage and management of the company CRM
  • Working closely with the Commercial Director to drive the sales process through to close
  • Responsibility for delivering financial KPIs for each project and agency commission targets
  • Supporting the broader team with relationships and prospecting where requested and relevant

Key experience & attributes required;

  • Substantial commercial experience working for a rights owner or a rights representation agency
  • A proven track record of delivering high level commercial partnerships (6 figure plus) and sponsors for rights owners (either directly or as an agency).
  • Strong prospecting skills – traditional (phone, email) and new (social)
  • Strong understanding and experience of the sales process and requirements to close partnerships
  • Able to understand, interpret and deliver layered solutions for prospects
  • Able to handle objections and navigate complex stakeholder scenarios
  • Able to manage both prospects and rights owners to deliver new partnerships
  • Able to communicate at all levels (including board members)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong strategic mindset and detailed planning
  • Knowledge in sponsorship or sports marketing
