EBAY MOTORS BTCC CHAMPIONS 2014

Last week I was given the opportunity to go to West Surrey Racing, home of the BTCC Champions for 2014, Colin Turkington and eBay Motors. Speaking to Colin, his wife Louise and Dick Bennetts, Managing Director of WSR, it became apparent just what a team effort this was. The sense of togetherness of the team really came through, epitomised by the initial effort to build a championship winning car and to then seek continuous improvements throughout the season. There is no doubt that the BTCC grid was at its most competitive in years, with 7 former champions competing. However the combination of a fantastic car and Colin’s superb driving appeared to result in a winning formula. It was fantastic to witness first hand, and there is a real sense of optimism within the team that this is just the start of a very exciting project.
