GENERATE BRINGS PROMS BACK TO CHATSWORTH

Generate Sponsorship produced a spectacular open-air classical proms concert at Chatsworth as part of a weekend of entertainment at the stunning Derbyshire stately home.

The concerts were held in the historic gardens at Chatsworth, attracting thousands of concert-goers. The Proms Spectacular – held on Friday, August 1, featured a programme of music including popular classics, film themes and music associated with the “Last Night Of The Proms”. The concert also featured selected music commemorating the start of World War One. Producer Andrew Wyke commented: “It’s fantastic to bring a classical Proms concert back to this iconic venue. To hear pieces such as Elgar’s Nimrod in this setting is really very special.”

With a brief to deliver a premium experience, Generate contracted Zero Degrees Events to provide all the production logistics, including stage, sound, lights and power. Neil Cranston, Managing Director, Zero Degrees Events commented: “Chatsworth is the perfect setting for large scale outdoor legacy events such as The Proms Spectacular. We were delighted to have worked with Generate on such a visionary project and are equally thrilled to have contributed to the success of the event”.

The concerts at Chatsworth marked the first collaboration between Generate and Zero Degrees Events and Wyke commented: ‘Neil and his team at Zero Degrees did a fantastic job in delivering extremely high production values in this complex location.”

Plans are already underway for 2015 and it is hoped that the Proms Spectacular will become a regular feature of the concerts weekend.  Chatsworth Events Manager Amy Law added: “This year’s concerts and staging have been the best they have in the garden at Chatsworth for many years.  We are really keen to develop on the success of the weekend are looking forward to making plans for 2015.
