MONGOOSE MONTHLY ROUND UP - FEBRUARY

With February likely to be remembered for the infamous ‘Beast from the East’, the Mongoose team has been cooking up a storm of its own and will be announcing no less than five new business wins this month. Vamos! We look forward to sharing them with you very shortly – so stay tuned.

In line with our growing client base, the Mongoose team has also expanded, please give a warm welcome to our latest recruits Sophie Nelson and Harriet Cooper! Their first taste of Mongoose life was with the team out in Switzerland to meet The North Face for a couple of days of planning for the year ahead (as well as managing to fit in a bit of skiing and fondue naturally!). There are some extremely exciting plans lined-up for the outdoors brand, so keep your eyes peeled for all things adventure and exploration over the coming months. We’re still on the hunt for talented new Gooses to join us and details of our open vacancies can be found here: https://mongooseagency.com/careers

Big congratulations to the Lucozade Sport team which was shortlisted for Best Use of PR in the BT Sport Industry Awards. The ‘Nobody ever moved forward standing still’ piece of content chronicled British boxer, Anthony Joshua’s, story from Watford to Wembley and received over 25m views and 49 pieces of coverage. A great start to the year and fingers crossed for the 26th April, when this year’s winners will be announced.

The activation team has been busy on numerous fronts, namely with our protein client, Optimum Nutrition, which recently became the official nutrition partner for the ever-growing Cancer Research Winter Run. A grand total of five extremely athletic members of the team took part in the 10k event, all of which finished in style with plenty of gas left in the tank. We wish both James Hughes-Mulligan and Matt Williams the best of luck when they take on the Virgin Money London Marathon in April! Donations are very welcome:

After a truly sensational play-offs campaign, NFL team, the Jacksonville Jaguars once again turned their attention to the UK and launched their latest exciting initiative, the Gridiron Grant. The scheme offers a university scholarship to two students graduating from the JagTag programme and was hosted by former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback and Super Bowl winner, Mark Brunell. Students have until 20th April to apply for the grant and the link can be found here: www.jaguars.com/uk/gridirongrant/index.html

March brings us closer to Cheltenham Festival with all eyes on the Cork office for a much-needed boost to the coffers! We will be there with bells on hosting over 100 guests on behalf of the Aldermore Bank. Best of luck to all those placing a bet! Fortune favours the brave.

Until then, ‘you stay classy San Diego’
