NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC TRAVELLER: A PICTURE PERFECT PRESS OFFICE 

National Geographic Traveller (UK) launched its renowned annual photography competition in August 2011. This year, UK photographers were invited to submit their entries in one of six categories: Action; Nature; People; Urban; Portfolio; and Video.

Mongoose was tasked with increasing the brands global reach and creating awareness of the photography competition to coincide with the latest issue which featured a pull out on the competition winners. To help achieve this and make the brand more famous, we strategically placed features in high-profile UK and global media as the latest issue hit shelves.

Effective use of our media relations and a carefully timed proactive press office resulted in

  • 15 pieces of coverage across national print and global online 
  • Hero pieces include a double page spread in The Guardian, a half page in The Times and fully dedicated online pieces on the Mail Online, Mirror, Evening Standard and MSN, Yahoo, Business Insider and High Snobiety
  • The 15 pieces of coverage resulted in a cumulative 558,432,855 opportunities to see 
  • Each piece included a call to action (either direct link to website or information about the on shelf date of the magazine including price)
