Timberland felt they were under-utilising their existing rugby and sailing partnerships; the sponsorships were not delivering the returns expected for their investment. We were tasked with reviewing their current partnerships and proposing a new strategy that would deliver greater results.
After completing a full review it was clear that Timberland needed focus. Whilst both rugby and sailing indexed well, we realised that Timberland should prioritise spend in sailing as product relevance and engagement resonated better with the sailing audience. We redesigned their sailing activation strategy, creating an integrated trade and consumer programme around their Cowes Week sponsorship to encourage product demonstration and trial of their sailing product range.
