Why did you want to work for Mongoose?

I knew that on returning to London I wanted to get back into the sponsorship sales world, preferably agency side if possible. Mongoose was at the fore of my mind when looking out for roles that were coming up. Speaking with Laura about the agency, I very quickly got the impression that all the things I was looking for were at Mongoose – a fast-paced environment, an agile approach to partnerships, quality engaging propositions and a great team/ environment to work in. 

Tell us a bit more about you, where you have come from and what your studied?

I grew up in Bedford, before going to Birmingham for university, where I studied political economy. I’ve spent the last 7 years primarily in the sports industry, selling initially advertising and latterly sponsorships/ partnerships. For the last two years I’ve been living in Madrid, drinking sangria, eating tapas and working on my perma-tan.

Where do you consume your news?

Mostly I’d say from Twitter or other social media. I like to let the algorithms and the data harvesters decide what I consume. Other than that, the BBC website would be my go-to. 

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Love playing sport, watching sport, getting out and about to see new things and different places. Like to travel to see as much as possible – a few more interesting places I’ve been to include China, North Korea and Russia. Love a day out, a big event, seeing things live. Also a big fan of eating and drinking, and enjoying it to the full.

Favourite sport and team?                                                                                                                          

I’d probably have to go with football I think. Although I like to dabble with a bit of tennis, very much only in the fair-weather months though. I support Bedford Town and Liverpool, as my football clubs.
