Lastminute.com London Eye Launch
The Lastminute.com London Eye was unveiled in all its glory on 19th Feb. A celebration of the launch of the partnership between lastminute.com and the London Eye, the Mongoose team hosted VIPs, media and special guests at an exclusive party on the River Thames. The lastminute.com story was told throughout the night with bespoke branding and a number of ‘surprises’. ‘Special elements’ had been planned into the event for guests to enjoy including: performances from Meghan Trainor & DJ set from Clara Amfo, special food moments, a gin bar, photobooths and holiday themed spaces.
Simplyhealth Stadium Showcase
Twickenham Stadium was the hub of our multi-channel activation of Simplyhealth as the Trusted Healthcare Partner to England Rugby, with a kick-off event taking place at the England V Ireland game. With a key focus on promoting wellness and wellbeing through fast access to healthcare, we hosted a panel discussion with Gaby Logan, Dylan Hartley, Heather Fisher, Peter Cheese, Dr Shaun Davis and Richard Gillies, to discuss the importance of ‘building resilience to tackle workplace adversity’. This was part of a series of events on the day which included the big screen premier of our video with ambassador Dylan Hartley and on the ground activation with 30 strong exercise troop to showcase the Rugby Safe Activate stretches in a simple routine. This has been complemented by a strategic Linkedin Campaign to target and engage with the corporate audience online.
Out of Office Operator
At the end of last year we were appointed by MSC Cruises to launch their Chelsea FC Partnership, and this month marked the launch of the Out of Office’ activation. We created the campaign to highlight the synergies between the two brands showing the importance of taking time out to relax and unwind no matter what your job. The social media content series, featured Chelsea pros and captains Cesar Azpilicueta and Magdalena Eriksson, and legends Joe Cole and Katie Chapman, speaking about their travel tales and taking part in holiday themed challenges. The mini-series was developed and strategically distributed through paid and organic channels to engage the target audience.
Industry innovation individual
Our client, The North Face have been nominated for the Innovation Award from the Sports Industry Awards this year following an epic year of FUTURELIGHT. The ground breaking technology is an industry first, pushing the boundaries of breathability and waterproofness, all while keeping sustainability and exploration at the heart of the innovation. With athletes testing the product for more that 400 consecutive days, and multiple athletes completing 8,000 meter expeditions, Mongoose have been there from launching the tech at CES, to showcasing the product to European media. Not forgetting, putting it to the test ourselves with the Never Stop London community.
Supporting those that serve
Whilst our commercial sales team have been busy working with the Army sport Control Board and the RF Sports Federation, it was the perfect time to sign the Armed Forces Covenant showing our wider support to the British Armed Forces. Mongoose CEO, Chris O’Donoghue, was delighted to sign the Armed Forces Covenant with Maj. General Duncan Capps on February 6th, down in Aldershot. Amongst others our pledges include, ensuring veterans, reservists, spouses and partners and all those with a connection to the Armed Forces have the opportunity to participate in activities and contribute to our Covenant.
It Takes Two
And, February marked a huge announcement for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the UK Market - next season they will host two games at Wembley; becoming the first NFL team to host two regular season home games outside the US. The Mongoose team have been busy managing the UK press office, securing coverage in key titles including TalkSport, The Times, BBC News and Evening Standard, as part of our role as the Jaguars retained UK marketing and sponsorship agency.
