Why did you want to work for Mongoose?

I am passionate about sports and the outdoors, so I felt a true match with Mongoose’s clients and ethos. I’ve followed Mongoose’s work for The North Face for the last couple of years – it’s a dream to be part of the team now.

Tell us a bit more about you, where you have come from and what you studied?

I was born in Ghent, a very cool city in Belgium and studied linguistics and literature at the University of Ghent. I previously worked at a PR agency in Brussels before moving to the French Alps to manage international PR for Val Thorens ski resort. I lived there for the past three and a half years, before relocating to the UK.

Where do you consume your news?

I like to read/follow news platforms in different countries to compare angles and opinions. In the UK my go-to sources are The Times, the BBC and Twitter. One of my favourite things to do at the weekend is curl up on the sofa with a coffee and the weekend papers.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love spending time outside, which was particularly easy to do the over last couple of years when the mountains were my playground. Skiing and hiking are my favourite ways of exploring outdoors but I also love going to the gym and doing yoga at home.

Favourite sport and team?

I don’t support a specific team, but I like all competitive sports. I follow Formula 1, cycling and the Freeride World Tour closely. And major tournaments such as the football World Cup and, of course, the Summer and Winter Olympics.
