WELCOMING A NEW GOOSE

In a matter of weeks the Mongoose team has grown and today we're introducing another new starter in Chris Zah who is joining the Comms team as an Account Coordinator. Read about him below...

Why did you want to work for Mongoose?

I wanted to work for a company that understands and appreciates the power of sport and the benefits it can bring to a community. Mongoose delve deep into the culture of the audience of their clients to provide compelling and inclusive narratives to create positive experiences in the world of sport and entertainment. I could not think of a better place in which I could contribute and develop my creativity and skills to fulfil that very mission.

Tell us a bit more about you, where you have come from and what your studied?

I was born and raised in East London – the heart of the 2012 Olympics. I have extensive experience with community initiatives that mostly revolved around sport and engaging the community in physical activity. I am of Nigerian, Ghanaian, English and Irish descent giving me an array of sport and lifestyle influences, including growing up within the sport of athletics where I have competed on a national level in the 400m. 

I studied Sports Science & Management at Loughborough University, with a particular emphasis on marketing and sociology.

Where do you consume your news?

BBC News, newspaper outlets, television, social media, and of course, word of mouth/human interaction.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

When I am not out with friends, I am a track and field athlete, competing in the 400m for Victoria Park & Tower Hamlets AC. 

I am also a musician and do scriptwriting in my free time. 

Favourite sport and team?

My favourite sport is athletics, being a big Team GB supporter. I also support Arsenal football team.
