As the PR agency for Football Fives, Mongoose created a launch event, ‘The Festival of Football’, to celebrate the opening of their state-of-the-art venue in Trafford, Manchester as the brand looks to shake up small sided football.
To raise awareness of the new site within the local community to help drive bookings when it opens and engage local and national media and generate press coverage of the venue.
Mongoose engaged key influencer Elz The Witch as the host for the event as well as having legendary Manchester United fan Adam McKola in attendance and none other than two Lionesses down in Nikita Paris and Katie Zelem.
Fives hosted a tournament that saw men’s and women’s teams from the Manchester community taking part. Mongoose organised a Q&A hosted by Amie Cripps from VERSUS that discussed Fives’ revolutionary tech offering, the brand’s commitment to inclusivity, and the future of women’s football.
There was also a Skills Area for those who wanted to show off their flair for football as well as a FIFA gaming station.
The evening ended with two Fives academy sessions allowing the next generation of players to interact with football legends, and experience the brand new pitches.
• We generated 22 pieces of media coverage, across national and consumer titles, with an OTS of 14 million.
• Over 100 pieces of content shared on social media, contributing to the Football_Fives Instagram account gaining 120+ followers on the day of the launch.
• Following the launch, Fives received 96 official email booking enquires which is double the amount received in the two weeks prior to the launch
